Azabu Sabo

August 6, 2008 · Leave a Comment

Met up with Celine after training and went to Azabu Sabo at Marina Square.

Sliced pork and Kimchi shabu shabu set – (~$18)

All the ingredients are raw, so you have to wait patiently for them to be cooked before you can eat, in the meanwhile, Celine and I had also ordered the popular salad there.

Could not remember what it is called, either seafood salad or prawn salad. It is really yummy. It’s consists of Broccoli, tomatoes, cucumber, cuttlefish and prawns.  (~$6.90)

The place is cozy and surprisingly, it was on a Saturday night and right after the NDP show ended, the restaurant is still quite empty. A nice place to chill up with your friends over a meal.

Su Korean Cuisine

August 3, 2008 · Leave a Comment

Su Korean Cuisine is situated at Far East Plaza level 1. They served authentic Korean food.

Just by looking at their side dishes, Nancy and I knew that we were in for a fest.

Kimchi Fried Rice

The Kimchi Fried Rice is not too spicy and not oily at all. It may looks plain when served but it taste much better compared to the Kimchi Fried Rice sold in Bugis Junction Food court.

XXXXXXXX

This was the first time eating it so I do not really know whether is it consider good or authentic Korean food.  But according to Nancy who had tried others before, commented that this is much softer than the rest and much tastier.

Old Airport Road Hawker Center

Tempura Soba

I’m sorry but I could not remember the stall name for this.  This stall is situated beside the Japanese Teppanyayi stall thou.  It is cheap for Japanese food and the tempura were well fried and not oily. Healthy food.

Another dish I want to introduce is Whitley Road Big Prawn Noodle stall no. #01-98.

Big Prawn Noodle – $5.00

The soup is supreme! Thick and fragrance and the big fat prawns just make you feel that you can’t get enough of them.

Omurice at Takashimaya (Update!)

July 20, 2008 · 1 Comment

Update!

Omu Rice at Takashimaya Basement 1

Today, I dragged CT to accompany me back to Taka for omurice. This time round, I wanted to try other types of Omurice available so CT and I each ordered Set B and Curry Cutlet Omurice.

Set B – $9.00 ( Consist of 1 veggie croquette, callops, crab meat and macaroni )

Curry Cutlet Omurice – $8.00

I realised that W890i is a good phone but too bad it does not come with a macro mode and flashlight, I can’t reallly get a good closeup on the food. But as you all can see the different in the colour of the newly taken picture of the Omurice compared to the Veggie Croquette Omurice’s picture which was taken with my old handphone, it definitely have a better picture quality compared to the old one.

Does it make you feel hungry? =p

Veggie croquette Curry Omurice ($9.00)

Oishii Desu! The deep fried veggie croquette is crispy on the outside and soft inside, the egg is smooth and tender (not abit of overcooked taste/ look ) with the combination of curry sauce .. it is a really OMG Taste!

=D~ I want more more!!!

Golden Landmark Shopping Center

July 18, 2008 · 1 Comment

This post was supposed to blog it during the June School Holidays , but I was too lazy. As during the school holidays, my workplace’s canteen was closed, my colleagues and I went over Golden Landmark Shopping Center for lunch. As they are Muslims, so we only tried the Muslims stall over there.

Suria cafe and Azuwa cafe are 2 nice Muslim food stalls that I came upon to. They are side by side to each other, located on the 2nd floor in the building.

(it look exactly like this when it was served to me!)

Suria serves the best Mee Rebus I ever had. Thick gravy and the nicest presentation I had ever seem for Mee Rebus. It only cost $2.50 per bowl. Damn delicious I tell you!

The Nasi Padang is not a bad choice if you think Mee Rebus is not enough for you. But they only cook a few varieties of dishes for Nasi Padang and it might be different everyday. I went for a few times and each time I went there were different dishes for the day.

Azuwa Cafe is run by a very cute and friendly ladyboss. When she saw us taking photographs of her stall, she panicked, told us to wait for her to pose. Haha.

I only tried their pasta and chicken chop. the Chicken chop is a thumb up but the pasta is only a so-so ranking. Nothing special for the pasta. The Chicken chop cost $4.50 if I did not remember wrongly. I vividly remembered instead of sprinkled with salts they used pepper instead. It taste different yet yummy.

If you have the time or happened to work somewhere , you should go and try it up.

Oh by the way, the Deep fried Fish soup at Banquet in Raffles Hospital is also a Must-Try!

Meeting with Vivi and CT

July 18, 2008 · Leave a Comment

It had been quite sometime since I last went out with Vivi and CT. We met up for dinner on last Sunday and dine at Fish and Co. As Tampines Mall is having a Japanese food fair, all salmon dishes will be accompanied with free drink.

CT’s baked Salmon.

Pardon me with all the weird angle photographs, I’m still not use to my new hp. And partly, I was too exhausted to find the right angle. =x

Vivi and me ordered Grilled Salmon

After dinner, Vivi was also very exhausted so she went home and CT and I proceeded for a movie session. For I think, I seriously need a movie-therapy. I was so god-damn tired that I had a ready lost my senses and not thinking right. (Till now, my reaction is still running at Pent 1, 64mb RAM speed)

Get Smart. A comedy. I could not help but literally LOL (laughing out loud) in the cinema.  I bet the people sitting around were quite pissed with me for laughing so loud. If you want a good laugh, to relax your nerve, Get Smart is a movie worth catching for just plain humour.

Bab at Millenia Walk

July 18, 2008 · Leave a Comment

Spicy Chicken Set @ $6.90

It’s cheap for its serving size. Definitely worth the price to go and try up. The spicy chicken taste like Kimchi which I think they use the same kimchi sauce for the spicy chicken. If you are hungry and do not want to spend too much on korean food Yet want to dine in a restaurant, this is definitely a good place to go for it.

It’s quite rare to find cheap food in the town area. We found Bab(recommended by Zhuzhu). It’s a fusion of Japanese, korean and thai cusine. There are a wide variety of choices to choose from.

Can’t remember the exact location, will update once I go there again =p.

Brief update of my disappearance

July 16, 2008 · 1 Comment

(not in ordered)

Update 1:

Took an MC today due to wisdom tooth infection. That’s why I have the time to update this spider web-filled blog.

For some of my close friends, they knew that I had a gap in between my upper and lower teeth, it always bothering me when I could not bite using my front teeth or pronounce some words that require closing my front teeth.

Today, the dental that I went to, told me that this was quite a serious case as because my bone structures was not leveled which resulting my wisdom tooth to grow lower than other teeth and causes infection. I was so shocked that I thought I need to go for plastic surgery to modify my jaw bones. But i think is consider 矫正手术 ? I do not what is the English term for it.

I could not remember the details but vividly she said, I need to implants 6 screws in front and putting on braces, retainer and tied with rubber bands or something to fix the problem. Else, I need to get an operation to fix screws onto my skulls and do a what canal thing or vice versa which I can’t remember what is that. It sounds so complicated.

Well, as I look normal, do not have any protruding jaws, I do need to have an OP on my jaws I guessed.

I knew that braces could not help me fix the problem but I did not know that I need an OP +braces and +++ to fix the problem.

Well, anybody had encountered this problem or any your friends had this problem? Any recommendation or advice?

Update2:

Ok let’s talk about the Toy and Comic Convention Fair that I went about 3 weeks ago?

Edward Scissors’ hand!!! SO CUTE!!!!!

I finally get to see Tofu’s artist!

I was greatly inspired by the artists and the illustrations that I saw over there. How I wish one day my works are able to be put on sales too..haha

I missed the autographed session of the artist for Lao Fu Zi.

But it was quite disappointing as there was too little things to see and what I saw most were Otakus (-.-”) .

Update 3:

Received a mango from one of the teachers. It was huge and juicy and sweet and had rest peacefully in my stomach.

Update 4:

I lost my hp after an aunty bumped onto me in Bugis. But It’s ok I got myself a W890i hp which i adored dearly and in addition, I renew my subscription with starhub and got a $100 voucher to waive off from any hp that I purchase PLUS 6 months subscription fee FREE. Well, I seriously guessed that the person who got my old hp was cursing and swearing at me as my hp was in a very deadly condition..HAHA.

Update 5:

Remembered the guy who I had mentioned who worked in mind cafe? Well, zhutou and I went back to mind cafe again and made friends with him only to find out that, that was hidden agenda behind his actions. I doubt we will ever go back again.

Everything happened too sudden for me to react. So, Zhuzhu and zhutou react for me first. They ‘forced’ me to reject him mercilessly which somehow I afraid to hurt him , I tried to put in a nicer way (still hurt him). Well, I’m really sorry but I got real frightened off by a 9 year older guy before so I do not want to get frightened off again (though somehow Zhuzhu and Zhutou had already frightened me with their wildest imaginations ) But somehow, it all seem to be too much of an coincidence.

Incident 1 :

Lets name the mind cafe guy, x

x (sms): u live in kembangan?

me( The train I was in just stopped at kembangan)

Incident 2:

x (Sms) : I guessed you woke up and slept again

me ( Woke up and slept again)

Incident 3:

Zhuzhu and I were at the bus stop preparing to go home.

x(sms): Hope you have an enjoyable night.

( 0.0)

Yuuko in xxxholic had mentioned , ” nothing is coincidence, everything is necessity” .

AHHHHHHH!!!~~~~

Update 6:

Received a freelance web editing job online. The client was a nice lady. It came as a surprise as mine freelance job ad was posted more than 1 year ago.

Update 7:

My Japanese Language class was interesting but the test kill me…

Update 8:

I had decided to stop my tutoring with PQ due to my overloads of works and this coming friday will be the last session. (In a nice way =x)

Update 9:

I failed my Piano Practical Mock Exam by 1 mark. (=.=”)

Update 10:

I almost got knocked down by a car, again.

Last Week of Holidays

June 22, 2008 · 5 Comments

Today is the last day of the June Holidays, lessons will be starting tomorrow! T_T I know all trainers, teachers and students. principals are in agony now, right ? right?

My last week was packed with all kind of events, let’s start off from Sunday (Do you know that Sunday is the First day of the week?)

15th Jun 08 – Third Aunt’s youngest son wedding dinner @ Raffles Hotel

The ambience was nice.

Get to sit with my 6th Aunt family and my grandmother. It had been a long time since we got a good table with nice view. (Just right in front of the projector screen)

We were so near the stage that I do need need to zoom in my camera phone to get the picture.

The food of the night , was really splendid! It was much much better than the 1 that my 5th Aunt’s elder son had for us.

***************

At night, met up with Nancy and Yen Ling for dinner. Borrowed a handbag from Nancy, lucky still in one good piece after last night’s dinner. (Phew~) We had our dinner at Swesens in Tampines Mall.

Clam chowder soup and fries.

Mushroom with dory fish? Not sure of the name

This plate of salmon look big in the photograph, the actual thing was much much much smaller.

20th Jun 08- Zoo outing

I had a staff outing at the Zoo. We had an amazing race style of game at the zoo. It was so much fun despite we were like, ‘huh? zoo… T_T” but we ended enjoying ourselves very much. I do not think I can post the video and photograph up here. Anyway, our group had elephant dance over there, biting a spoon to pass peanut to one and another, reciting a poem at the polar bear area and identify 3 differences between two of monkeys. We were the first to complete the game but we lost. We got a Tupperware each as a gift.

21st Jun 08 – Wedding dinner at Furama Riverfront Hotel

This was the first time I attended a wedding dinner of my own and third one in this month. It was quite boring as I do not get to understand what’s the others was talking about. Things they said seem to have an hidden agenda in it. Anyway, got to learn something in the wedding dinner. The Art of Speaking is really something that I must get it learnt soon.
